
Randy Holmes finished his career at Saint Peter’s with 1,022 points in three seasons. Holmes holds the school record with 35 consecutive made free throws, and tied the season record with a .853 free throw percentage in 1994-95. He was named the 1995 MAAC Tournament MVP after scoring 24 points in the championship game win over Manhattan, en route to leading Saint Peter’s to its second NCAA Tournament berth. In that same season, Holmes was named second team All-MAAC after averaging 15 points per game. The next year, he averaged 14 points per game; including scoring 27 points in a win vs. SEC power Alabama in the Cessna Classic at Wichita State. Holmes led the Peacocks to the classic championship and earned MVP honors. He was inducted into the Saint Peter’s Hall of Fame in 2002 and his 1994-95 MAAC Championship team was inducted in 2014.
